Mega Man and Pac-Man Officially Join Street Fighter x Tekken Roster

Capcom confirms the legendary characters...for the PlayStation versions.

The buzz for the upcoming Street Fighter x Tekken crossover brawler continues to grow, as the game slowly but surely moves towards its March release.  But it's looking more and more like the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions are the ones to have, thanks to the inclusion of a few exclusive characters.  We already knew about Cole McGrath from the Infamous series before, but tonight, Capcom confirmed two more legendary characters who are joining the party...

We had reported previously that Pac-Man and Mega Man, both from their respective game franchises, would be joining the PS Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken, but tonight, Capcom confirmed that they would be available in the PlayStation 3 version as well.  We've got a breakdown for both characters for you, so you can see what they'll be like in the game.  (We've included trailers as well.)

First, let's talk Mega Man...

Originally making his debut on the NES many, many years ago (like before most of you were born, believe it or not), Mega Man has become an institution for gamers all over the world, despite the fact that his recent history with Capcom has been so rocky (thanks to the depature of creator Kenji Inafune).  However, Capcom is giving him due respect with SFXT, including the character that first appeared on the Mega Man cover art.  Yep, you won't be getting the 8-bit version, but rather the freaky looking one that still has power to spare.  Check out the trailer below...

As you can see, the trailer shows old-school Mega Man in action, along with Cole, Pac-Man, and two exclusive characters, Kuro and Toro.  More on Pac-Man on the next page...
