Earlier today, Take Two announced that 2K Marin’s first-person shooter XCOM has been delayed to fiscal 2014. This isn't the first time that Take Two delayed XCOM as the project had a 2011 release date, but is now set back to Take Two Interactive's 2014 fiscal year ranging between April 2013 to March 2014.
Don't be confused, XCOM: Enemy Unkown is a strategy game by the developers of the Civ franchise. XCOM is a first person shooter and has been in development for quiet a long time. This marks one of many delays for Take Two Interactive with the biggest coming being Bioshock Infinite, which had it's release push back to Febuary 2013.
XCOM burst onto the scene E3 2010, but has been abscent ever since then. What's going on with Take Two as more and more games are getting delayed. Even though I like their commitment to excellence, you have to wonder if more problems lie ahead.
