Much like the Street Fighter series, Capcom is following the same path of adding more characters to its Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 title by making a brand new edition of the game titled Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The new release will increase the roster size to a total of 50, adding 12 characters to the roster - 10 brand new characters, as well as Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine who were available as DLC characters. To follow up the game's reveal at Comic Con, Capcom has released trailers of some of the new characters. The first trailer is of Firebrand, an enemy many people will know from the Ghosts 'N Goblins.

The upcoming Tekken Hybrid package for PlayStation 3, due this November, is looking pretty sweet.  Along with the new animated Tekken: Blood Vengeance movie (in 3-D, no less) and a high-definition version of the classic Tekken Tag Tournament HD, the game will also include a nifty little extra -- a playable taste of the upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

One of the most anticipated new movies of the year visited Comic Con 2011 to air new footage and deput their trailer - in 3D. Stemmed from the visionary producers of 300, Immortals follows the mythological story of Theseus, a human chosen by the gods to fight those who would free the Titans - and unleash hell on Earth. Theseus, played by Tudors actor Henry Cavill, is secretly chosen by Zeus, played by Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans), to fight Hyperion who is in search of the legendary Epirus Bow which could release the Titans from their prison.

Comic-Con 2011 is now officially over, but the show ended with a great deal of satisfaction.  And one of the outside events that fared similarly well with many goers took place over at 345 6th Street, the Sega Arcade.  Sega had a number of visitors drop by to check out several of its upcoming games, including Rise of Nightmares and several Sonic games.

We knew it was only a matter of time before Capcom would decide to expand its Marvel vs. Capcom 3 universe.  This morning, the company announced that next step, in the form of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, set for release this November on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  Along with all the characters and stages from the original game, the quasi-sequel will introduce new stages and characters.  First screens inside!  UPDATE: It looks like the other characters have been leaked!

Nathan Drake has seen his fair share of adventure across two games thus far, with two more -- Uncharted for PS Vita and the long-awaited Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception -- coming our way later this year.  But now Nathan is invading some new territory, thanks to DC Comics and some savvy comic book veterans.

This year was looking pretty good for comic book game releases, particularly with Batman: Arkham City closing in on its October 18th premiere.  But the pressure of how good that game will be is probably leaving an effect on some publishers, most notably 2K Games.  The company has announced that one of their big projects for the Halloween season, The Darkness II, has been pushed to February 2012.
