Interactive Entertainmentis the latest game publisher to offer an incentive for gamers to buy all the digital content for a game in one swoop, rather than paying individually as new content is released. Rockstar Games introduced a similar payment structure with LA Noire. Mortal Kombat, which was createdby Ed Boon (see video below), is the first game to offer a season passfor digital content.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has signed a long-term studio-wide license agreement with Epic Games to use the award-winning Unreal Engine 3 on some of the big games of this decade. The development software will be available for any team developing a Warner-published game across PC, console and mobile platforms. Through 2014 Unreal will be the exclusive game engine used on projects being developed by Rocksteady Studios, which is currently working on Batman: Arkham City, and NetherRealm Studios, the team behind the award-winning Mortal Kombat franchise.
