The games have gone from PC to console and back to PC again. Needless to say I am a console gamer and missed the franchise for years until EA finally released the Sims 3 for gameing systems. So what’s with all this talk about The Sims Social?

The Sims 3 Generations Expansion Pack Due Out In Spring

Everyone wants to escape and live in a fantasy world for a little bit. Whether it's playing with friends and pretending to be superheroes or dressing up for Halloween, we all let another side of us out. The Sims 3 allows people to live another life in a small world on their PC, having a different job and raising a whole separate family. EA has announced that a new expansion pack called Generations is due out this spring.

Mobile World Congress 2011: Verizon Wireless Gets First Dibs on Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play this March
BARCELONA, Spain – Gamers waiting for the PlayStation Phone will be able to jump into games like The Sims 3, Guitar Hero and a multiplayer-exclusive FIFA 10 this March when Verizon Wireless launches the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Sony Ericsson unveiled the new device and a full line-up of games to celebrate the start of Mobile World Congress 2011. There will be 50 games available at launch, including 10 from Gameloft. Sony did not disclose the pricing on hardware or games at the press conference.

The Sims 3 Gets Original Songs in Simlish

Electronic Arts is offering a robust music line-up for The Sims 3 games that includes music from a variety of genres such as hip-hop, alternative, pop, rock, and electronic. Artists from around the world including Travie McCoy, 3oh!3, Flo Rida featuring Jovi, Kelly Rowland, and Kelis recorded current or upcoming hit singles from their latest albums in an entirely new language, “Simlish,” which is the official language of The Sims franchise. This music can be heard on The Sims 3 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii and on PC/Mac with The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack.
