LOS ANGELES -- THQ revealed its new roster as well as new features including the new "Attitude Era" mode of this year's installment of their best-selling WWE wrestling game WWE 13. Among other new features are new entrances and finishers, new customization features, enhanced gameplay and dramatic moments that include the ability to collapse the ring. We talked with THQ Creative Director Corey Ledesma as well as Stone Cold Steve Austin, RAW GM AJ Lee and legendary WWE broadcaster Jim Ross about the new WWE 13 game and features in exclusive video interviews.

Early this year, Bioware’s Mass Effect saga came to five year run. Rest aside the ending; the series is one of the most complete trilogies in video game history. There are two aspects that Mass Effect nails perfectly. The series was first to interweave choices all the way through the third and final installment captivating fans from start to finish. However, you can’t tell a great story if you forget to create the atmosphere for your game to breath in. The music in the game really doses shape Commander Shepard with it having one of the best scores in gaming, but do people notice? Do people look at soundtracks as a whole or as background noise?

THQ doesn’t appear to have much presence at this year’s E3 event, as there won’t likely be a Darksiders II car wash to go with last year’s Saints Row event.  No matter, the company will still be there, showing off the upcoming sequel featuring Death, along with the recently announced Company of Heroes II.  But now it looks like it’ll have an additional game in tow, the latest in its ongoing World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling sims, as a trailer appeared online hours ago – before being taken down – that announced the arrival of WWE 13 on November 1.

If you went ahead and looked at the release schedule for 2012, you would notice that the entire year follows one particular theme - comeback. Franchises that haven't seen the light of day for years or even entire genres are making their way back for at least one more foray before this console generation concludes. We've already seen Twisted Metal bring the car combat genre into the fray, and even today marks the return of SSX. While it is nice to see these games come back after a long hiatus, there are other genres that could also use a comeback of their own.

Back in 1991, we didn’t worry about playing networkable games or developing strategies for first-person shooter battles.  Gaming was much simpler, a matter of just having fun with the likes of the SNES or, better yet, going to an arcade like Aladdin’s Castle to have a good time.  It’s here I first discovered Technos’ WWF Wrestlefest, a game that featured the likes of Hulk Hogan and the Legion of Doom battling in simple yet entertaining 2D action.  Now, 21 years (and several arcade closures) later, the Wrestlefest label lives on, thanks to a new App Store release from THQ.

What is it with old-school arcade revivals this year?  First The Simpsons Arcade Game made a comeback on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, entertaining a whole new generation of gamers without the need to break out a roll of quarters.  Now THQ is hitting the wrestling ring with a remake of WWE Wrestlefest, a game that originally body slammed into arcades back in ’91 under Technos’ direction.  And just like it did back then, Wrestlefest promises to be button-mashing fun.

Every Tuesday, Sony brings its PlayStation faithful new content, add-ons for your favorite games, Themes and avatars for your PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Again another standard week of PSN goods you can get, but for the most part the main draw are going to be demos. Twisted Metal is finally going to hit store shelves and the fans of  the series will be eager to get their hands on the multiplayer demo now available.

We're getting all sorts of WWE announcements this week.  Hot on the heels of news that Mick Foley, the Hardcore Legend, was joining the game's upcoming DLC packs, we've just learned that one more legend has been added to the mix -- "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

Brock Lesnar's stay in World Wrestling Entertainment may have been controversial (especially towards the end), but it's no doubt memorable, thanks to a series of matches and plenty of attitude.  And even though he's since gone on to flourish with a career in UFC, that isn't stopping him from returning to his old stomping grounds -- virtually, at least.

No, not the kind of Predator from To Catch a Predator.  And definitely not the space Predator -- though he would make a cool wrestling character.  Nope, we're talking about Predator technology, a new addition to the engine of WWE 12, THQ's upcoming wrestling game.  Its inclusion will not only make its characters look more dynamic, but will emulate WWE programming, to the point that you may actually feel as if you're watching the real thing.

World Wrestling Entertainment's latest pay-per-view, Summerslam, happens this Sunday, with a number of matches set to thrill the attending folks in Los Angeles.  As part of the festivities, THQ teamed up with the company to reveal the full roster for its upcoming WWE 12, which will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on November 22.  While a bunch of big names made the cut, we were also surprised to see a few other folks in there, too.
